TRILOGY 1 - PART 4: THE STRATEGY'S OBJECTIVES
TRILOGY 1 - PART 4: THE STRATEGY'S OBJECTIVES
Thwarting the Plan of Redemption
The actions of the fallen `Bene Elohim` were not an aimless rebellion or merely an outburst of lust. This was a coordinated and calculated attack aimed at the very heart of God's plan of redemption. The Devil, the mastermind behind it, is a strategist who understood exactly what he wanted to achieve.
The Devil's Ultimate Goal: To make God's promise in Genesis 3:15 impossible to fulfill, thereby forcing God to break His promise or abandon humanity forever to his power.
1. Making the Messiah's Birth Impossible: The Attack on the Proto-Evangelium
This is the primary and primordial objective. Everything else is derivative.
Messianic Prerequisites: The promised Redeemer ("Offspring of the Woman") had to be truly human (to represent humanity and be a legitimate substitute) yet unstained by sin (to be a perfect and blameless sacrifice for redemption) (Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 1:19).
Strategy of Total Contamination: By contaminating the entire human population through genetic and spiritual mixing with fallen beings, the Devil sought to create a scenario where no human being met these prerequisites. All humans would become hybrid, contaminated, and lose their status as "pure humans" created by God. Thus, there would be no worthy "Offspring of the Woman" to be born.
Making the Incarnation Impossible: If this strategy succeeded, the Incarnation (the Word becoming flesh) would become biologically and theologically impossible. God would not be able to become truly human because the available "flesh" would no longer be truly human, but a product of contamination. This was the Devil's attempt to lock the door of salvation before it could even open.
2. Establishing the Devil's Alternative Kingdom: Dominion over the Earth
If the primary goal failed, the secondary goal was to establish a rival government to the Kingdom of God on earth.
Hybrid Ruling Race: The Nephilim were not just a byproduct; they were agents of the Devil's power. As mighty hybrid creatures, they would naturally become the ruling class, oppressing and enslaving ordinary humans.
Eradication of True Worship: Under Nephilim rule, worship of Yahweh would be eradicated and replaced with the occultism, sorcery, and idolatry taught by the `Bene Elohim`. The earth would become the Devil's kingdom *de facto* and *de jure*, a legitimized "stronghold" of dark powers.
Claiming Authority over Creation: By establishing this kingdom, the Devil was essentially saying, "See, God. Your creation is now mine. Humanity prefers my offer and my knowledge. I am the rightful ruler of this world." This is the embodiment of his offer to Jesus on the mountain (Matthew 4:8-9), whose claim to the kingdoms of the world was based on the "purchase" he made through deception and contamination in the days of Noah.
3. Fundamentally Corrupting Creation: The Defilement of God's Work
This is a broader, more philosophical objective. The Devil hates God and all His good creation.
Violating Divine Boundaries: God created everything "according to its kind" (Genesis 1). This established order, hierarchy, and boundaries within creation. The act of the `Bene Elohim` was an intentional ontological (relating to the nature of being) violation of this order. They mixed the spiritual with the physical, the divine (in the sense of heavenly beings) with the human.
Ruining Creation's "Very Good" State: After creation, God saw that everything He had made was "very good" (Genesis 1:31). This strategy of the Devil was designed to turn the "very good" into the "exceedingly wicked" (Genesis 6:5), to defile and contaminate the beauty and purity of God's creation at its most fundamental level.
Creating Chaos (Tohu wa-Bohu): The Devil is the bringer of chaos. By corrupting the created order, he wanted to return the world to a state of "*tohu wa-bohu*" (formless and void, Genesis 1:2), a chaos that could no longer be remedied, thus forcing God to annul His own creation.
Conclusion of Part 4:
The objective of the Devil's strategy in Genesis 6 is threefold and digs progressively deeper:
1. Theological Objective: To prevent the birth of the Messiah.
2. Political Objective: To establish a rival worldly kingdom.
3. Philosophical/Existential Objective: To ruin and defile God's creation itself.
This explains why God's response had to be as radical as the threat. This sin was not merely a moral sin; it was an existential attack on God's own sovereignty, promise, and character. This understanding leads us perfectly to the door of Trilogy 2: The Divine Response.
