TRILOGY 1 - PART 3: THE STRATEGY'S METHODS


Two Consecutive Attacks to Corrupt (Genesis 6)

Key Verse: "...the sons of God saw that the daughters of humans were beautiful, and they married any of them they chose." (Genesis 6:2)

Key Term: Nephilim - "the giants" or "the fallen ones"; the result of this hybrid union.


A. Phase 1 - Spiritual Corruption: Corruption of Knowledge & Worship

Before engaging in physical relationships, it began with spiritual and intellectual corruption. This is the "brainwashing" phase and the erosion of humanity's cultural foundations.


Method: Imparting "Forbidden Knowledge"

Context Source: The Book of Enoch (1 Enoch 7-8) provides details that, although non-canonical, are highly consistent with the Genesis 6 context and are accepted as Jewish tradition explaining the passage.

Types of Knowledge Imparted:

1.  Occultism & Sorcery: Knowledge for cursing, summoning spirits, and practicing black magic. This corrupted humanity's relationship with God and opened the door to mass spiritual control and deception.

2.  The Science of Warfare: Techniques for making swords, knives, shields, and armor. This was not for self-defense, but to industrialize killing, systematize violence, and build empires based on oppression.

3.  Cosmetic Arts & Deception: Methods of using ornaments and makeup to deceive and arouse lust, causing humans to focus on carnal desires and outward beauty.


Goals of Phase 1:

Sever Spiritual Connection: To divert human worship from Yahweh to occultism and evil spirits.

Create a Culture of Violence: To build a civilization founded on strength and oppression, not truth and love.

Weaken Morality: To break down human moral boundaries, making them more receptive to, and even desirous of, the next, more extreme phase.


B. Phase 2 - Genetic Corruption: Violating the Boundaries of Creation

After humanity's spiritual and moral foundations were ruined, they launched a more direct and physical attack. This was the climax of their strategy.

Method: Hybrid Intercourse & The Creation of the Nephilim

The Act: "They married any of them they chose." (Genesis 6:2). The word "took" (laqach) often implies a strong or unilateral taking, not a voluntary and blessed marriage.

Ontological Violation: This is not merely a moral sin. It is a violation of God's most fundamental created order. God created everything "according to its kind" (Genesis 1). They intentionally mixed different "kinds"—the spiritual realm (themselves) with the physical realm (humans).

Result: The Birth of the Nephilim: "The Nephilim were on the earth in those days..." (Genesis 6:4). These hybrid creatures are described as "the heroes of old, men of renown." They were not only large physically but became tyrannical rulers, using their power to oppress and possibly even consume humans (ancient traditions mention cannibalism).


Goals of Phase 2 (The Ultimate Aims of Satan's Strategy):

1.  Corrupt the "Image of God" in Humanity: Humanity is the crown of creation, made in the "image and likeness" of God (Genesis 1:26). By injecting their own fallen nature into human bloodlines, they corrupted and distorted that divine image.

2.  Block the Coming of the Messiah: This is the core objective. The Messianic promise (Genesis 3:15) was about the "offspring of the woman"—a true human. If all of humanity became genetically and spiritually contaminated by fallen angelic nature, there would be no "pure" human left who was worthy and capable of being the unblemished Savior. Satan sought to make the Incarnation biologically and theologically impossible.

3.  Establish an Alternative Kingdom: To create a hybrid ruling race (the Nephilim) entirely under the influence and control of Satan, to rule the earth and eradicate the worship of Yahweh.


Conclusion of Part 3:

Satan's strategy through these fallen `Bene Elohim` was not a random act. It was a clever and evil coordinated campaign that began by corrupting human minds and worship (Phase 1: Spiritual Corruption) and culminated in a direct attack on humanity's biological and spiritual integrity (Phase 2: Genetic Corruption).

These two phases show that sin is not just about wrong actions, but a strategy of spiritual warfare to destroy God's creation and thwart His plan of redemption. The scale and depth of this strategy explain why God's response (the Flood) had to be so global and radical, which will be discussed in Trilogy 2.
